Awra Briguela is a child star who is known for his impressive comedic timing and stint on the primetime series "And Probinsyano." He was discovered online through a video while he was doing an on the spot acting inside a room and doing some 'awra' projecting on cam which inspired his screen name.
The child star was very happy when he became the grand winner of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids." But Awra was disappointed when he learned that his 'nanay' Vice Ganda will not be able to watch their grand showdown last Sunday.
In his interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda," Awra admitted that he was disappointed with Its Showtime host Vice Ganda.
According to Awra: "Text po ako ng text sa kanya, tawag po ako ng tawag." "Pero ayaw niyang sagutin."
Awra wanted Vice to see how proud he can be for him winning in the grand showdown. Awra was sad when Vice was not able to watch him but the comedian explained the reason for not watching the show.
Vice said: "Ayokong sabihin nila na nanalo ka dahil sa akin. Gusto kong isipin nila na nanalo ka dahil sa sarili mo."
In his winning performance, Awra impersonated the American rapper, Nicki Minaj with his hit song "Super Bass."
Awra got a final score of 95.41% followed by "The Voice Kids Philippines" season 2 grand winner, Elha Nympha.
